This page explains how Dettifoss Tours makes money, because you should know that before you click anything.

The commission

Dettifoss Tours may earn a commission when you book through a link on this site, at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is the operator’s price whether you reach them through us or type their address yourself. We work with two booking platforms, Viator and GetYourGuide, and every outbound booking link on this site carries a tracking tag identifying us as the referrer.

What we are not

• We are not Vatnajökull National Park, and we have no relationship with it.
• We are not a tour operator. We do not run vehicles, employ guides or hold your booking.
• We are not a ticketing authority. Dettifoss has no admission charge, so there is no ticket to sell in the first place.

What the commission does not buy

Operators cannot pay for a position on this site, cannot pay into the featured three, and cannot pay to have a criticism removed. Tours are ordered by rating multiplied by review volume, and the multi-day circuits sit last because Dettifoss is a stop on those rather than the point of them. The featured three follow the same figures.

Where the numbers come from

Prices, ratings, review counts, durations, inclusions and cancellation terms are the operators’ own, read off their live listings on the date in the byline. They change without notice, and a promotional price is still the price. Ratings and review counts appear on this site as plain text and are never marked up as our own data.
